Try this. Put an electric dog collar on the submissive. Apply it completely at random, and apply it frequently. Use the strong setting at times, the weak one at others. Build something that seems like a pattern (e.g. weak followed by strong) only to break it. Do this for a couple of days and you will see how response times to your teachings improve while the rest of the world fades away.
